BioThe Spartan was huge, easily seven feet tall. Encased in pearlescent green battle armor, the man looked like a figure from mythology-otherworldly and terrifying. Master Chief SPARTAN-117 stepped from his tube and surveyed the cryo bay. The mirrored visor on his helmet made him all the more fearsome, a faceless impassive soldier built for destruction and death.

Master Chief is everything a career soldier should be. A war record the envy of most of the UNSC Generals, advanced training, superhuman strength and speed, he defines supersoldier.
One in a handful know the truth. Master Chief is one of 38 people to actually survive the SPARTAN-II project. He and his comrades were kidnapped from their homes at an early age. Chosen for superior genetic markers, they were modified to give their lives for their country-and that's all that the Chief wants. [For More Details, Please Visit HERE]
Master Chief, SPARTAN-117, and his comrades are weapons against the Covenant. A theocracy made up of aliens worshiping their higher truth. Along with the AI Cortana, he's the only asset in a loosing war-a war made worse with the introduction of the ancient alien artifacts known as Halo.

[Master Chief, also known as John Spartan, stands at 7ft. tall in armor. While wearing his Mjolnir Mark V armor, he weighs half a Metric ton, yet the armors weight in no way inhibits his lightning fast reflexes. While in armor, the Master Chief's speed and strength is doubled, if not tripled. Out of armor, John Spartan is lightning fast, and capable of taking down opponents twice his size. [See Halo, First Strike] fully armored, the Master Chief can flip a warthog over.
Greecian Spartans were trained from an early age in the art of combat, and the Master Chief is no exception. Highly Capable Marksman, and familiar with most UNSC and Covenant weaponry, the chief will not hesitate to kill if ordered, or if the situation calls for it.
Mentally, the Master Chief is conditioned to obey without question. On numerous occasions he's been mocked (called a freak) to his face and taken the rebuke. Those in power understand the value of he and his siblings, and John will only take exception if the group as a whole is threatened. He has a close bond with the other spartans, notably Sam-058, and Kelly-039. Marines and Naval personnel both have a healthy respect for his skills, but he rarely gets close to anyone. If possible, his best friend is Cortana, the Artifical Intelligence construct that previously inhabited the pillar of Autumn.
Canonically, Master Chief is smack in the middle of the events of the first Halo (...I've read the books. and played the first game) just after the fall of the Pillar of Autumn]
